My Wi-Fi extender is messing up my Wi‑Fi ????

Hello, I recently bought a TP-Link brand Wi-Fi repeater. After configuration and testing, it works very well. The only issue is that a few minutes later, my family members nearby (connected to the main box and not to the repeater) complain about slowdowns in the connection.
Do you know what this is due to?

    The problem doesn’t occur when you’re on the box’s wifi?

      Hi and thanks for your response,
      When I’m connected to my modem, there are almost no issues (even if there are a few instabilities, but anyway). It’s really when the repeater is plugged in that it wrecks the modem’s network... But I’ll try just plugging in the repeater without connecting to it to see if it has an impact.
