I am reaching out because I think I have tried everything...
I recently got an unpartitioned and allocated 500 GB VERBATIM external hard drive, but it does not show up in my computer; it only appears in devices and printers as "USB mass storage," which I can't do anything with.
In disk management, it is present. In the device manager - disk drives - it is also listed along with the model.
I know there are already many topics on this, but the solutions haven't helped me.
I am using Win 10.
I also wanted to try (perhaps as a last resort) to format it, but I don't have that option available.
If any solution seems obvious to you, I would appreciate it along with my thanks.
