Insufficient storage space on new Hp Stream convertible

32 GB is very, very low for disk space. Now it's the storage space for phones. In fact, on a PC like this, it should rather be storage memory like in a USB stick. And why 20.5 instead of 32 GB? There must be a hidden recovery partition.

On it, you have Windows and the software plus your files.

The 2048 MB is the memory of the PC, where the computer executes programs.

If you just switched from Windows 8 (or 7) to W10 and you are satisfied, therefore do not plan to go back, you can delete the old version to gain space.

On C: you right-click/properties + Disk Cleanup, in the window that opens, you click on Clean up system files and check everything then OK. This should free up some space.

So I have exactly the same issue after a year. This whole year I have barely used it except for using open office and watching movies stored on my hard drive. Basically, I haven't done much with this computer, and since it started alerting me that I had no space left on the internal disk, I deleted all the applications that were taking up space and were useless to me since I never used them; it still finds a way to tell me insufficient space even though it only has a maximum of 4 internal applications + the pre-installed software. I'm at my wit's end and I'm ordering a new computer in November, but for now I have to make do, and it’s true that even deleting unnecessary things it won’t let me, like when trying to do a complete reset to factory settings, I can’t! And yet, apart from using it for trivial things, I have a 1TB external hard drive where I store everything (photos, writings, documents, films, and series) so the internal storage of my PC is totally empty! So I don’t understand.
This was the first time I bought HP because I was always used to Acer... And well, I won’t fall for the same trap twice. Way too complicated and too many long-term problems.
