Hello,
I bought a Dazzle DVD Record HD kit to digitize my camcorder tapes. Like many, the captured video is perfect for a few seconds before turning black and white. It goes back to color for a few seconds whenever I click on an option like changing SECAM/PAL. The same problem occurs during acquisition whether I use the provided software (Pinnacle Studio for Dazzle) or VLC. I contacted Pinnacle support, but they couldn't help me.
Finally, regarding my camcorder connections, when I send the camcorder signal to my TV, everything works fine.
I've seen that several people have had the same problem on the forum. However, I haven't found any effective solution.
Has anyone been in this situation and finally managed to get a color video for an extended duration?
Thank you in advance,
Configuration: Windows / Firefox 66.0

Hello,
Install the software "amcap" to try to ensure that the captured video is always in color. You're lucky otherwise, because I, with the same software, couldn't manage to capture videos from VHS tapes; the image was disastrous. Pinnacle responds, but often without solutions.

Hello, Dazzle is the most reliable device at the moment; just follow the user manual carefully.
There are tutorials on YouTube to guide you. You need to use the software included or a version of Pinnacle Studio.

If the quality of the VHS is not good enough, aside from playing it from the VCR to the TV, we don't really notice it; it turns out that we won't be able to capture a good video image. The only solution left is the companies that have the equipment to convert our VHS to digital format, for an affordable price!

Hello,
The issue occurs with the software provided with the capture box (Pinnacle Studio for Dazzle). As for AmCap, I can't get it to launch after downloading and installing it without crashing the computer...-

After a few tries, I think I understand what is aimed at in this "AMCap" solution: indeed, the video captured on Studio goes in color for a few seconds every time I switch from the "SECAM X" format to the "SECAM Y." The idea is to change this format each time it switches to B&W (every 4 seconds) in order to keep the color throughout the entire duration of the video?
