Hello,
impossible to get audio output on my speakers from my projector via my amplifier + PC
can you help me?

my amplifier: DENON AVR-X1000 AMP


my projector: OPTOMA HD 144X


my PC: HP Pavilion All-in-One - 24-xa00
when I connect HDMI between PC and projector: audio output from projector
when I try to put the amplifier between the two: no sound at all : (

    We won't make it...
    We need to connect the HDMI output of the amp (5 - HDMI Out- Hdmi Arc) to the HDMI1 (1) input of the projector.
    The HDMI output from the PC goes to the HDMI(5) - 5 Media player of the amp.
    Normally, this should be enough... if there's no sound, add a Jack 3.5/RCA cable to input 9 "Audio In" 2 Media player of the amp.

    Note that the jack input on the PC (as added later in the previous message) can be a simple headphone output or a combo headphone + microphone jack.

    In the latter case, a headphone/microphone splitter is needed.

    What wiring are you doing?
    Send the sound directly from the PC to the amplifier.

      the current wiring:
      VIDEOPROJ > HDMI > AMPLIFIER
      PC > AUDIO JACK (headphone jack) & HDMI > AMPLIFIER
      when the jack is plugged in, there is no sound
      when I unplug it, the sound comes from the videoprojector's speakers but never from the amplifier : (

        It would be desirable to specify which HDMI and audio inputs are used
        All the HDMI or audio inputs on the amplifier have a name, so to say precisely which ones are connected by the cables.

    Euh!!!
    The projector in 1 is not an output... but an input
    The PC does not have an HDMI input but an output (it provides the image)
    Similarly, the headphone jack on a PC is an output, not an input, and in 9 of the amplifier there are two inputs (1) CBL/SAT - (2) Media player.

    How is the amplifier connected to the projector? HDMI but from where to where?

    Edit: furthermore, does the PC have a headphone jack or a combo jack (headphone + microphone)?

      Indeed, I'm starting from far... thank you for your patience ; )

      When I try the connection VIDEOPROJ / AMPLI: I use input 1 of the VIDEOPROJ connected to one of the input No. 5 of the AMPLI

      Otherwise, the overall diagram should be: PC > AMPLI & VIDEOPROJ > AMPLI? Because if my projector is not connected directly to my PC, nothing happens...
