IPhone keeps connecting and disconnecting from Mac

Good evening,

I have been having an issue for some time with my iPhone Xs, which, when I plug it into my Mac, connects and disconnects every half second (the charging icon appears and disappears constantly). This makes charging the phone via the Mac, as well as iTunes synchronization, impossible.

The USB ports on my Mac are operational as I can plug in other devices without any problems.
The cable is also functional as I can use it to charge my iPhone via a power outlet or a Windows PC.

Do you know why I can't connect my iPhone to my Mac?

Thank you in advance.

Sometimes, the problem is purely software-related. Sometimes, there are issues with the usbd daemon, which is at the root of the problem with the iPhone.

One possible solution to this issue is to open Terminal.app (Applications -> Utilities -> Terminal) and run the following command: sudo killall usbd. It will kill the program and immediately restart it. You will need to provide your password. Please note that the password will not be visible, which is normal.

If that doesn’t work, try entering a different command in the terminal: sudo killall -STOP -c usbd. Again, you may need to enter your password

    It worked for me ;)

Thank you very much, it also worked for me.
Maybe specify that you need to close the terminal when you finish entering the password and then test with your cable.
