Set up Epson XP-255 printer

Hello,

I can't set up my Epson Expression Home XP-255 printer on my MacBook Pro (10.10.5 Yosemite). I've connected the USB cable and used the disk that came with the printer. In the Utilities tab, it shows: communication error.

Can you please guide me?

Configuration: Macintosh / Safari 10.1.2

    Have you tried downloading and installing the driver for your OS from the Epson website?

      Sorry for my late reply, but yes, I tried to download the driver for my Mac but without success. I have been without a solution since then.

      Have you gone through Apple menu/System Preferences/Printers & Scanners? What do you see in the left column? Does your printer appear?

      yes, I have two open files, one called printer and the other scanners.

      Hello,

      Have you tried changing your USB cable or switching connectors on your Mac? What Mac do you have and what OS are you running, by the way? You need to provide as much information as possible because, unfortunately, we're not clairvoyants or psychics :-)
      Is your printer properly connected and switched on?
