Connecting your ps3 to early flat screen TVs

Hello, I received an HDTV to RCA cable yesterday, which I ordered online. I plugged in the tricolor end (yellow, white, red) into the corresponding slots on the TV and the other end (the HDMI) into the console. I switched it to AV, I pressed the button on the console for 15 seconds to reconfigure it, and it doesn't work. Does anyone have a solution? I should mention that I also have a TV box and one for the internet connected to this TV. Maybe I need to unplug some cables; I'm not quite sure, I'm a bit lost. If you have the solution, that would be great! Thanks in advance.

Configuration: Windows / Chrome 58.0.2988.0

    Hello,

Why not plug in the original cable sold with the console that looks like this:

Hello superthevip, yes it's the right cable that I bought but unfortunately I called the support for my Philips TV and it’s too old to connect this cable, it's a matter of image, I'm disappointed. Thank you very much for your reply, have a nice evening.

I connected the tricolor side (yellow, white, red) into the corresponding holes on the TV and the other end (the HDMI) into the console.

Actually, on the cable I'm showing you above, there is no HDMI port.
You need to connect this cable to the "AV MULTI OUT" port on your console.

On your TV, you can use a Scart adapter (peritel).
This works with all TVs, whether flat or not.

Ok, what is this cable called? And what about this adapter? Because I need to type the exact names so I don't make a mistake and order them...
