Hello everyone,
Here is my problem, I uninstalled OneDrive from Windows 10, but I have a folder that keeps coming back, it is located in C:/ users/arnau/onedrive
inside it there is just a desktop folder and in the desktop folder an empty image folder, no matter how many times I delete it, it keeps reappearing.
I have followed several methods to remove everything via regedit but nothing works, it always comes back? I feel like it's some kind of "OneDrive desktop"? Could someone help me? Thank you!!

Hello chernia
I see that you also sought advice from CNET

OneDrive is integrated into Windows 10. Therefore, you cannot uninstall it.
However, you can hide it and stop the synchronization process.
It remains somewhat hidden. To do this, disable all OneDrive settings and remove the OneDrive folder from File Explorer.
1. In the notification area at the bottom right of the Windows screen (Systray)
right-click on the OneDrive icon. You may need to click the arrow to Show hidden icons to find OneDrive.
2. Click on Settings and uncheck all boxes under General.
3. Under the Auto Save tab, set the Documents and Pictures lists to This PC only, then uncheck the other boxes.
4. Under the Account tab, click on Choose folders.
5. In the Synchronize your OneDrive files on this PC area, check and uncheck the box Sync all files and folders in my OneDrive. (The first action checks all boxes, then the second unchecks them all.) Click OK to close the dialog and return to the settings.
This step removes all OneDrive files from your computer, but they remain on OneDrive.com.
6. Click OK to save your changes in the Settings dialog.
Have a nice weekend.

Hello,
Thank you for your reply. The problem is that I was able to uninstall OneDrive in the applications section by clicking on uninstall, so I no longer have the OneDrive icon. Only a file remains, and it reappears even if I delete it...

Hello,
Look here
Try the registry method suggested.
Or save this reg file on the Desktop
Run the file → Remove_OneDrive_from_Navigation_Pane
Confirm the dialog boxes and reboot the PC.
Or you can also try your luck with Unlocker or Long Path Eraser or with FilExile
Ideally, you should do it in safe mode to avoid launching any processes because in
your case it's a folder and not the OneDrive shortcut.
P.S.: I would like to greet the blue fox
See you!

Hello,
Try to log into OneDrive here
Info: To log in, use your email address and password for your Microsoft account.
Once logged in, explore the different sections like documents, recent files, or others
If you see your folder, delete it.
Log out and restart the PC.
See you later

Phew, it finally worked! I reinstalled OneDrive and then I unchecked the file protection settings in the normal parameters, so I got my PC desktop back and the OneDrive desktop disappeared.
Thank you!!!
Thank you!!!
Small question:
How did you reinstall OneDrive or what method did you use?
This is for future users who may be in the same situation.
I had mentioned it to blue fox in a private message to have you reinstall it.
Thanks for the feedback.

You are right, you need to stop the sync by uninstalling OneDrive.
Actually, as you said, it doesn't uninstall but just deactivates.
In a tutorial by Malekal, there is a small software that does it very well since I have used it.
But he has a folder for that, we'll see if the small tools can handle it.
At worst, reinstall it and go through the steps in order.
Thanks for the feedback.
I downloaded it here by clicking on "Do you need to reinstall the app? Click here to download it." I opened it, unchecked everything, canceled the synchronization, and unlink my computer, then I closed it and afterward I uninstalled OneDrive from the apps by pressing uninstall and everything finally disappeared. ;)
So on the link I gave you here
That's why I didn't see → "You need to reinstall the app''
In my case, I simply disabled it with win10-spy-disabler
And it doesn't show up anywhere
And on the link when it is disabled, there is only → Start OneDrive
That's the explanation.
