new computer very slow Solved

Hello,

I just bought a new laptop (Lenovo Ideapad 330-15IGM) on Amazon, and I find it very slow for a new computer! I ran a performance test (with experienceindexok since it no longer exists in Windows 10), and here’s what I got:
score of 2.2 (determined by the lowest subindex)
Processor Calculations per second: 7.9
Memory (RAM) Memory operations per second: 5.9
Graphics cards Desktop performance for Windows Aero: 2.2
Graphics (games) Graphics performance for games and professional 3D applications: 9.9
Primary hard drive Data transfer rate on the disk: 6.3
Microsoft Windows 10 Home | 17134 | 64 bits |

I know I didn’t buy a high-end machine, but still, does this seem normal to you or does my computer have a problem and I need to return it?

Well, in the task manager, the processor is almost always at 100%. Google Chrome uses 80% even when no window is open! (I disabled background work in the settings but nothing works...)

weak processor, and above all there is no SSD, and for a not powerful computer that matters a lot. even if it is still supposed to be at least somewhat fast, it remains a computer mainly for word processing/internet/video viewing. It is very possible that there is something that is using the hard drive, CPU, or RAM abnormally.

I know it's not very powerful, I really got it just for office tasks, but even for that, it seems slow to me, the start menu alone has a significant delay when opening! Everything has a delay in fact, it works like my previous computer, which is 4 years old and cost the same price... I haven't installed anything on it yet, so there shouldn't be any programs using the computer abnormally, right? I'll check at the office tomorrow.

I have exactly the same problem! Why does Chrome have this issue on this computer and not on another? If I want to use Chrome, do I have to accept that the computer will be that slow?

We had the same problem this week. Brand new computer that was lagging more than the old one :( so disappointed. In the end, we decided to take it back to the store for a refund. There were three of us with various new computers in hand, same problem, different brands. Actually, the problem is due to the new Windows 10 system. ? You need to reset the computer (press in the tiny hole on the side). Restart, install, then do the update. It's very long, but finally it's worth it - we have a great little computer that works well :)
