Hello,

I need to apply a 32% discount on a unit price.
In my Excel table, there are 4 columns:
1 = reference
2 = quantity
3 = unit price
4 = total price (2*3)

My table has 2,596 rows!
I need to do a simple and quick calculation.

Thank you in advance for your responses.

    Hello,

    this request isn't very clear.. do you need to apply a 32% discount on the 2596 lines of the unit price column?

    Hello

    if you want to keep the unit price intact:
    • copy it and paste it into an empty column
    • enter 0.68 in an empty cell
    • select the price field
    • right-click / special paste and "Multiply"

    this will give you the new price
    you can of course do this directly on the Price column

    but if you want to calculate with a formula:
    for the unit price in a new column:
    =C2*0.68
    and to get the result of the reduced total price directly:
    =C2*B2*0.68
    kind regards

      For example, if my unit price is €250, can I do =250/1.32 in the column to get my correct result?
      Since I want to apply a discount of 32% on my unit price!

      Hello everyone

      250/1.32 gives 189.3939394
      250*0.68 gives 170

      If you divide by 1.32, it gives you the value BEFORE a 32% increase.
      To remove 32%, you need to multiply by 1 - (32/100), so *0.32
      Add 10% to 100 and subtract 10% from the result, and you won't end up back at 100 ;)
