Hello everyone, thank you in advance for your help
Here is my problem, I have a Nexus 7 tablet, usually when I turn it on the word Google appears then it transitions to a loading screen and the tablet opens. I was playing a game and I think I made a wrong move, the tablet froze, I restarted it and it got stuck on the Google screen, with the "start" option doing nothing. With the volume button, I can also access the options "Power off," "Recovery mode," and "Restart bootloader." The "Power off" and "Restart bootloader" options only turn the tablet off. The other two do nothing. When I try to turn the tablet off with the button designed for that, it turns back on by itself, only the two options above actually turn it off for good. Can you tell me what I need to do to get my tablet back to how it was before? Thank you in advance.

Hello,
I have a Nexus 7 and a few months ago, I experienced freezing issues. (not at startup)
I resolved the issue in a completely bizarre way: by gently tapping the tablet on the back.
I know it sounds completely irrational and unlikely; but it worked.
And I just saw that other users have done the same:

Best regards.

I had exactly the same problem. That is: my tablet (Nexus 7 bought in 2014) crashed on an online game, then I forced it off with the button, turned it back on and couldn't get past the startup screen with the Google logo. Even after trying the operation at least 5 times.
I just read this forum. My tablet is in my hand, frozen on the Google logo. I tap the tablet with my flat hand a few taps on the back and then a few taps on the front. And then, I'm dying of laughter, the screen changes and becomes like usual (the little color animations until my wallpaper to use the tablet). Thank you very much for this post! But what a ridiculous fix this is!!! :D
I really wonder why mechanical action impacts a computer system...
indeed it may seem strange but it is actually something quite different.
over time, your tablet (age) has a main ribbon that tends to "disintegrate" with heat (internal temperature), creating false contacts (slightly wavy ribbon);
so the remedy is to place a piece of pad or something between this ribbon and the back cover, keeping it flat and thus restoring the contacts properly.
tapping will only be a temporary fix for the tablet's functioning.
there is a video on YouTube explaining how to resolve the gyroscope problem (image rotation)==> deterioration of the ribbons due to the temperature generated by the battery.
