Hello,  My iPhone 7 Plus does not detect the lightning earphones, while it works correctly when I connect the charger.  Configuration: iPhone / Safari 12.0

If after testing the headphones and the lightning adapter on another iPhone the problem persists, it is probably the “loop disease,” an issue that affects many iPhone 7s. I have the same problem; my microphone is no longer detected, and my speaker button is grayed out. This issue comes from a connection on the motherboard that is defective or has come loose.

I’m not sure if the headphones issue is related, but in any case, I have that too; my iPhone 7 no longer detects my headphones (which work on an iPad and another iPhone). It occurred a week or two before my microphone (telephone) was no longer detected. You can check by going into the Voice Memos app and trying to start a recording; if a message says, “no audio device detected,” then the problem is the one mentioned at the beginning of my message. A costly repair of the device is necessary.
Despite the fact that the problem affects a very large number of devices (iPhone 7 and 7 Plus) and is linked to a poorly designed hardware issue (as stated by Apple in a statement), they do not cover the repair costs.

The first step is to blow into the connectors.

The socket is defective:
To avoid this, always carefully and gently remove the male plug from the female socket. No matter where the female socket is located on a computer, on a router, on an adapter (for cars or electrical outlets), on a television, smartphone, etc...

Hello,

Since you can charge your iPhone via the lightning port and it has even been replaced, it likely has an issue either with the lightning headphone accessory or with the iPhone itself.

First, make sure that the headphone accessory is functional. If possible, test it on another iPhone.
Consider replacing it and see if that changes anything.

Also, check that you are using the latest software version for your iPhone.

Yes, I have the latest update <IOS 12> and I tried several headphones but none work, although they work on other iPhones. I don't understand anything anymore.

Oh okay, so indeed if there is an adapter, it needs to be tested as well... Same principle as the second link in message N1 and that gives us these two questions:

Have you tried with other headphones & iPhone using your adapter?

Have you plugged your headphones into another adapter & iPhone?
