How to reset PC without logging in.

Hello, my PC hasn't recognized my password for a while. I called Microsoft, but nothing worked; they told me to download the Windows 10 image onto a USB stick, but to access it, I need to log into the PC, which I can't do, so I'm stuck. Since there's nothing important on it, I would like to know if anyone knows how to reset my PC without having to log in? It's an Acer Aspire 1 running Windows 10. Thank you.

there is always the possibility of removing the hard drive, putting it in an enclosure or as a slave on another PC, and formatting it
but there is probably an easier way
is it the session password that you have lost? or if not, which one?
