Hello,
I noticed yesterday that my RAM slot is dead. I have 2 RAM slots and one of them does not detect the RAM (black screen). I would like to know if it is possible to repair? I looked at the pins in the slot, they are all okay. I’m not sure where the problem could be coming from, maybe a component that powers the slot.
Configuration: Windows / Chrome 69.0.3497.81

Hello.
>>> maybe a component that feeds the slot. <<<
Indeed, at the output of each pin from the slot, you have components such as resistors, capacitors, diodes that lead to integrated circuits and transistors. But these are rather "micro" components that only a specialized technician could potentially change. It’s impossible for us to handle them given how tiny they are.
I think you've done this, but have you tried swapping the memory sticks to see if the problem persists? Or check with Memtest >>>

Otherwise household alcohol at 95°, not as effective but cheaper. Don't look for 90 alcohol at the pharmacy; it hasn't existed for a long time.
After cleaning (make sure to insist), let it dry well, put your sticks back and run a memtest to see if they're detected.
Good luck . . . See you later
