4G Free - Significantly degraded speed

Hello everyone,

For the past few months, my 4G speed has significantly degraded.

I have been a Free customer for 4 years now, and I have lived in Amiens for 2 years, and until now, I have always been satisfied with Free's 4G (which I also used for tethering), but for the last 6 months, the speed has completely collapsed.

My speed before these issues was at least 5mb/s... Now it rarely exceeds 1mb/s, hence my problem...

This issue seems to occur only in my city (from my place of residence) because the speed remains at 5mb/s (tethering) in other cities.

Is there a solution?
Should I switch operators?

Hi, if you have enabled roaming on your mobile, it's more likely that you are connecting to the Orange network and for some time now, reduced speeds while roaming on the Orange network have been announced. This is information that has probably gone unnoticed for those who aren't keeping up, but it has been a reality for several months. So if you have Free coverage near you, you should disable roaming on your mobile in the mobile network settings.

Thank you for your advice,

My data roaming was indeed enabled (I thought it only applied to H+ and 3G networks). I restarted my phone, but after testing, my speed remains at 0.500 mb/s... for 4G...

Edit: Currently, my speed is 400 kb/s...
