TV Connection on "Public" WiFi

Hello,

I just moved into a new apartment where there is a Grundig Smart TV. I don’t have a WiFi box; the owners have set up a "public" router in the house for tenants to use. To connect to the internet, I need to enter a username and password, but the WiFi appears as open in the list of available routers (like hotel routers). The TV can connect to the WiFi but cannot access the internet since I have no way to enter my credentials. Do you have any ideas on how to resolve this issue? I have only tried the "Automatic" WiFi setup because I have no idea how to manually configure a WiFi connection; perhaps the problem comes from there...

Best regards,
- Florian

Hi,
if there's no web browser on your TV, you won't be able to connect it to this network.
You need a browser to authenticate on a captive portal.
Check with your landlord to see if they can add a private wifi network.
