Connect a mouse to another receiver

Hello,
I tried to connect a new receiver for a Logitech M185 mouse with an old M175 mouse for which I lost the receiver.

For this, I used Logitech's "connect utility" software. But here’s what it tells me: "Unable to pair your device within the allotted time."

Does anyone know a solution?

    Hello,

    This solution only works if both mice and the USB connector are compatible with their "Unifying" solution (orange logo with a sun). Is this the case? (I checked the Logitech website, it's not clear...)
