How to program a wireless USB receiver for a mouse.

Hello,
I bought a USB wireless receiver for my TENMOS wireless mouse online because mine stopped working. The one I had before, which came with the mouse, worked with other 2.4GHz wireless mice from different brands. But the one I bought seems "blank" and the different mice I've tried with it (which don't necessarily belong to me) that worked with the other receiver won't connect.
This gives me the impression that they can be programmed because when I check its properties, this new wireless receiver (almost identical to the old one) has additional features like connecting to a wireless keyboard in addition to functioning with wireless mice.
So if anyone knows how it would be possible to program this receiver or make it compatible with my mouse, that would be great.
(PS: I haven't found any forums answering my question)

And... What is this "receiver"? Because there are dozens, if not hundreds or thousands of them...
Without a specific reference, it's impossible to say. I hope it's not a Bluetooth dongle for Bluetooth mice... Nor a Logitech "Unify" dongle specific to the brand...
