Hello / Good evening.
Here’s the situation....
I have a graphics card, an Nvidia Geforce 820M.
Which, for a while now, has been updating via Windows Update...
So I never looked at the version I had...
And I noticed, recently, that it dated back to May 2018...
So I manually downloaded the latest version from the official website...
The program tells me that it was not compatible.
Even though it was indeed my graphics card and my system...
Even Geforce Experience does not find any updates...
So I decide to use DDU, uninstalling the Nvidia drivers first...
- I uninstall all Nvidia drivers, as well as Geforce Experience
- I download DDU and restart in safe mode.
- I then use DDU and successfully remove all traces.
- Back on the PC, in "normal" mode, I do a little manual Windows Update search...
It finds an update, which I proceed to do...
-> But it’s an old one, and Windows Update then finds no further updates...
So I ask myself: since I have the version of the graphics card, does Nvidia have archives? Do I need to download ALL files after this version, and do I need to go through ALL these updates?
So I start:
- First setup: success... I was :O
- Second setup: success....
- And so on...
I was thrilled, I found how to do it... Long, tedious, but functional...
I was mistaken...
When I reached version 391.35, which I managed to install, the subsequent setups: FAILURE...

Can you help me?
Thank you!

Hi,
And... what is your OS?
At Nvidia, certain driver versions require a very specific Windows update.
So, if your Windows is behind on updates, installation = failure ;-(
By the way, if you have an error, you should have a bit more information... What does it say?
