Hello everyone,
I'm reaching out because I'm stuck using the Dazzle from Pinnacle.
Here's a brief summary of the tests I've conducted.
I want to convert my old VHS tapes that are in SECAM format.
Upon receiving my Dazzle, I installed Pinnacle Studio for Dazzle and immediately noticed that my video was in black and white. After some research online, I found that I needed to modify some dll files to add the SECAM option. (X_ImportComponents.dll).
At that point, a large portion of the VHS tapes were in color.
I still have a few that remain in black and white. I've tried other software like AMCap or VirtualDub, but the result is the same: when I select SECAM_B, I see the color appear, but after a few seconds, it reverts back to B/W.
I've also tried with budget modules like EasyCap, and the result is the same.
Finally, I connected my VCR to a TV, and there my cassette was in color.
Do you have any ideas to suggest to help me convert the few remaining VHS tapes?
Thank you in advance.

Hello, same problem. I contacted Corel and they sent me a DLL update for Windows 10 X64.
Since then, all my PAL and SECAM VHS are in color.

I also give you the procedure
- replace the files "X_ImportComponents.dll" available in the location: C:\Program Files (x86)\Pinnacle\Studio for Dazzle\programs
- replace all .dll files available in the folder "PCLE.Capture" - C:\Program Files (x86)\Pinnacle\Studio for Dazzle\programs\PCLE.Capture
Then try to import your VHS in SECAM format. -
Hello, I am part of the group of regular contributors on the forum, and we had concluded that the most reliable device was Dazzle, and it is Dazzle that we were recommending. Now I read several posts about the color issue and even the disappearance of the "Secam" option. I suggest that you ask Corel Dazzle by creating a "ticket" (that's their term) or by phone; the messages are in French and they respond quite quickly. I have used their services for my Pinnacle Studio software.
