Hello,
How can we use a Chromecast in a hotel room with a Wi-Fi connection that requires login and password authentication?
I've seen that it's possible online, but I can't find the solution.
Otherwise, I also have a TP-Link MR3020 box, but I can't configure the WISP mode.
Thank you
Configuration: Android / Chrome 61.0.3163.128

Graphics card: nvidia gtx460m
windows 7 home edition

Hi,
The ChromeCast does not need the internet, but only a local network between it and the device that needs to send the signal. Therefore, a Wi-Fi router capable of having client connections is required to form a local network (even if there is no internet access), in order to allow the devices to communicate with each other.
In this case, the "AP" mode must be used, with an active DHCP server on the router.
The complete documentation is here: https://static.tp-link.com/1910012156_TL-MR3020(EU)_V3_UG.pdf
However, if you do not explain where you are stuck in the configuration... we will have trouble being able to help you.

Hello,
However, they are indeed talking about a WISP connection

I can't set up the box in WISP mode.
Thank you

When I try to configure the WISP mode, it says in red "WAN port is not connected"
When I look at the networks in range, I can see this new connection, but I don't have internet access.
Thank you

The WISP is for capturing a network and redistributing it. To operate a Chromecast, a local network works in principle. Therefore, the router does not need to have Internet access.
Otherwise, read the documentation to configure the WISP, it's explained...
