Remove Xbox 360 parental controls Solved

Question

Hello, I recently bought a second-hand Xbox 360 core system, and the previous owner had set up parental controls on the console. I've tried to contact them without success.

So, I tried different button combinations like the ones suggested here: https://www.xboxpassion.fr/forum/t6003.0-tuto-d-sactiver-le-contr-le-parental.html, to access the menu to reset it to factory settings, but I can't reach that menu.

I'm stuck, and I can't launch any games from the CD drive (at least the PEGI 18 games for sure, I don't have any PEGI 3 or 7 games to test).

If anyone has a solution to propose, I'm open to suggestions.

But in your case, you won't be able to reset the access code since you need the answer to the question which was created by the previous owner, so you will need to click on "contact Xbox technical support for assistance."

Well, I had a big stroke of luck. I thought I could try a few codes before calling technical support. I first tried 0000 then 9999 without success. Since the previous owner was probably in his forties or early fifties, I tried all the codes between 1950 and 1969 as birth years, still without success. So, before trying to put in birth dates like 05/68 (month/year), I decided to try all the codes that have the same digit four times, and there the code was 1111, and I was able to disable parental control. I really got lucky, but now I don’t know if Xbox technical support helps those who buy their consoles secondhand, but oh well, at least my problem is solved.
