Hello, I would like your help! I have a Kenwood 2000 amplifier that works great, and I would like to keep it, but there is no HDMI port on it.
How can I connect it to my DVD or Blu-ray player to get 5.1 sound from my home theater where the audio outputs of each speaker are connected via RCA jacks, please? I don't know how to do it.
Thank you in advance
Best regards
Configuration: Android / Chrome 68.0.3440.91

Hello.
Using an adapter such as the one here >>>
https://www.amazon.fr/Composite-vid%C3%A9o-audio-adaptateur-convertisseur/dp/B00D18UWRY/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1533719707&sr=8-4&keywords=hdmi+convertisseur+rca
There are cheaper ones available. Check online (however, watch out for quality)
You'll need to add 2 cables: 1 HDMI / HDMI male . . . and 1 RCA / RCA male
See you later . . .
PS: link changed . . . hdmi to rca and not the other way around.

Sorry for not responding. I saw the message 5 (0:27) but missed this one.
This model is an ordinary model and one of the best sellers. Of course, there are more expensive ones: over €100, but the small difference in features (often inaudible) does not justify this price difference. So let's stick to this standard model.
How does it work? Nothing could be simpler. Just connect the male HDMI cable from the "Input" of the converter to the DVD player and connect the RCA cables from the "out" on the converter to the "RCA inputs" on your amplifier. Set the selector switch to NTSC and perform the tests. Be careful to keep your amplifier at a low volume when you turn it on, as the gain of a DVD player is not negligible.
Otherwise, there are pre-made cables. Personally, I prefer a good converter, but it's up to you!
