32-bit display on a 64-bit processor

Hello everyone,
For some time now, I've been interested in setting up a virtual machine on my PC. However, I've noticed that I only have access to 32-bit options. I have a 64-bit processor (computer purchased less than a year ago), and I would like someone to clearly explain to me why I can't choose a 64-bit display… It's not specified anywhere.

Moreover, when I'm on my computer and go to advanced display settings then -> Video card properties for display 1 then -> List all modes. Once again, I only have access to 32-bit display proposals. (so I don't think it's Hyper-V as I found out)
I don't understand why, can you enlighten me?
I own a HP Pavilion 15, Intel x64 i7 processor, Nvidia GeForce MX.

    Hello,

    there is no 64-bit display, at the same time... It's 16 or 32 bits. And that defines the usable color palette for the display.

    The 64-bit processor has no connection to the display method. It concerns the processor's instruction set, not the display mode.

    Hence the fact that nothing is explained since... We don't explain something that doesn't exist.

    Thank you for your response, Judge. It is indeed clearer, it explains why there was nothing.

    Why do you think Virtual Box is not showing me the 64-bit options? What should I enable and how?

    (I tried the Hyper-V command line but it didn't change anything)

      I just explained to you that there is no display in 64 bits... so I don't see what you want to enable or display as a "possibility" in 64 bits.

      The images (.iso) are available in 64-bit. Why?

      I have a friend whose VirtualBox shows him options for distributions, for example, he can choose Ubuntu 64-bit. For me, this option doesn't even appear. Why?

      It is therefore not related to the display, but to the supported instruction set.

      So, where does your VirtualBox not display the "64bits"? Knowing that when you create a new VM in VirtualBox, you normally have the choice of the intended distribution and there, you can select whether it will be 64bits or not.

      Furthermore, be careful, but not all 64bits processors are capable of emulating and virtualizing 64bits machines. Specific instructions for virtualization are required. ;-)

      That's exactly what I'm trying to explain, as you said at the time of choosing the distribution, I should be offered the 64-bit options, but they don't appear. However, I do have the latest version of Virtual Box.

      Maybe you're right, my processor is not capable of that. How can I be sure?
