My husband bought the Mac OS Lion version because he has a 2007 Mac and is having a lot of difficulties browsing the internet now. He bought Lion, but he can't update Safari or Firefox with Lion 10.7.5.

Does anyone have any leads for him?

Thank you.

    Hello,

The version of Safari is the one provided with the installed OS X (Lion, therefore) and the only way to get the latest compatible version is through "software update" (Apple menu)

For a compatible version with Lion, you can find other browsers in their latest compatible version, on this page (click on the blue link)

    Best regards.

      Hello,
thank you for your link, but in my case (2008 Mac) with Mac OS X 10.7 Lion, Safari cannot open the download links (Safari error message). So it's impossible to change browsers! What should I do?

      Hello,

A 2008 Mac, without knowing the exact model and its configuration, can certainly be upgraded to Mac OS 10.11.6, under certain conditions, which is why it's necessary to provide the configuration or the serial number so that we can guide you on the steps to take.

      To find its configuration

here is a visual guide (click on this link)
