Satellite and sun

Hello,

At my place, it’s when it’s really hot and especially when there’s a lot of sun! If it’s thirty degrees but the sky is overcast, everything works fine, but if the sun is too strong, I lose satellite reception! Where could the problem come from? When you live in the south, it’s really annoying!

    Hello,
If your LNB head is old, it may not handle overheating, how old is it?

She’s not even 3 years old! We already had this problem last year and an antenna technician just raised the antenna by a few centimeters! Everything was working very well and now it starts again every afternoon....

    Hello
my hypothesis is that the parabolic support deforms due to heat...?

Possible indeed, the parabola can also deform... and see with the new parabola hoping that it is made of fibers rather than metal...

And how come Channel 24 is the only one that works? It might be a silly question, but I don't understand any of this...

What do you mean? Are you talking about the news channel France 24?
Or about RMC Découverte (Channel 24 of TNT)?

I am going to put forward a theory that some may find dubious...
Astra 19.2° East consists of four co-positioned satellites BUT:
      Astra 1L is at 19.18°E
      Astra 1KR is at 19.19°E
      Astra 1N is at 19.21°E
      Astra 1M is at 19.23°E
France 24 is on the L and the others are on the M....

    Hi,

I'm wondering: how do they manage in the Maghreb countries then??!
They all have satellite dishes in the middle of the desert. Are we lagging behind in the materials used????
