Hello everyone,

I have equipped my box with a VOIP standard. So far, everything was going well. For some time now, I have been experiencing issues with call quality. My VOIP provider tells me to ask my ISP (Orange) to disable SIP ALG.
I call Orange, and since it’s not their equipment, I need to check with the VOIP phone provider or look into the settings of the Live Box V3. I ask them where to find it, and they reply that their assistance ends there.
I call the VOIP provider back, and they tell me that I need to do a "ping response."
I don't understand anything anymore.
In conclusion, we have to figure it out on our own.
It's outrageous for Orange to lock a protocol simply to be able to offer ONLY THEIR devices...
Does anyone have a solution to propose?
For your information:
LiveBox Orange Pro V3
VOIP Telephony Keyyo
Thank you in advance

Hello,

Do you have a special "box" for VoIP that connects to the internet from your router?

Or do you make calls from your computer...? Or from a smartphone...? Or from a landline...?

In the case of a smartphone, do you connect via Wi-Fi?

Your ALG is in the menus of the router with VoIP or telephony... it depends on the model of the router... that said, the Livebox3 is not the best for this, nor is Keyyo...

Often they use the same port as their telephony, so there can be a conflict... for your Keyyo, you need to take a port like UDP 5063 that you must enter into the NAT of your router in front of the IP of your phone...

There is also an audio codec issue... you need to take 711 and PB... it is often set for American telephony at first... you must configure it to French telephony standards...

It's not all that simple.

Thank you for your response.
Yes, indeed, I have a box that is connected to the router, to which the VOIP phones are linked.

Yes, but you don't say much to provide information... you only answer the first question.
Understand that if I were at your place, I would see the equipment, its brand, its model, I could take the keyboard and access the menus, etc... from here, through a forum, I can't do that... so it's up to you to see and know, then you have to say it here, without that, I can't guess. Nor can I help you.

Thank you for your quick response. Well, actually, I answered based on what I understood :-(.. The rest is a bit overwhelming for me..
"ALG", I don't even know what that is :-(

What does that mean?
I'm really sorry, but right now, I'm completely lost..

Could you still respond...

-- Is it a landline phone or through a smartphone or via your PC..?

-- Also, the brand and model of the miracle box... if you can't read the data, take a clear picture of its identity plate.

-- Why did you get into this business... did you see advantages, to call far away and cheaply..? Or something else?

- Fixed telephony, Cisco IP SPA504G device
- OBIHAI box model OBI 302

I set up this system to establish a professional switchboard. It was working relatively well, but for the past month, the line has been choppy and there are some dropouts. Keyyo asks that the "SIP ALG" BE disabled, but of course, Orange refuses and tells me to either use their equipment or consult my service provider. I'm going in circles...
Orange tells me to go into the Box settings and modify the "Ping", and that they won't provide any further information...
