How to retrieve the contact list on Orange Solved

Question

Hello, I am in the process of changing my contract with Orange (from Orange Pro to Orange Residential), and Orange is telling me that as a result of this contract change, I will lose all my messages and all my contacts. Orange says there is no way to recover them to associate them with the new contract, but if I know a computer technician or someone knowledgeable, they might be able to do it... My question is therefore simple: is there anyone among you who can tell me how to recover all my current messages and contacts to associate them with my new email address? Thank you in advance for your help...

Hello sciuro, Not a specialist, just to clarify, but a suggestion for example. The essential thing would be to know what types of files the messaging system under Orange Residential accepts for import. In the event that the file type is CSV or VCF, it might be possible to export from Orange Professional in one of these formats and then, "maybe" import them into Orange Residential. Currently, a forum member much more knowledgeable than I might know the trick, in which case it would be nice for them to speak up, thanks to them. No idea! All I know is that I was using the 'classic' Orange messaging service accessible through my 'Zen' subscription. Originally, I was under 'Orange pro' (an association registered at my home) and when I moved (and no longer handled the association), Orange forced me to cancel the old 'pro' Zen contract and subscribe to a new Zen contract but 'residential'. In doing so, I changed my identifier, and while I can still benefit from my old address for 6 months (with the associated contacts), at the end of this period I will no longer have access to it and would ipso facto lose the entire list of contacts associated with this contract. So I asked if Orange could transfer them to my new contract, but they replied that it was not possible, although a computer technician or someone knowledgeable could download them onto my PC's hard drive. I should clarify that I have neither a smartphone nor a phone connected to the internet and that my only access to Orange is through my PC. Of course, if it's too complicated, I'll let it go, rebuild my hundreds of contacts, and say goodbye to all my saved and stored messages, but if it’s not too much of a hassle, it would really help me out...

Hello sciuro, On the same link provided earlier, you have the explanations on how to import contacts in Orange, take a look there,   It is possible in the CSV format used by Orange. Please try the operation and report back, if you will. Maybe it's unnecessary to specify obviously, but it will be from the new account that you will need to import, I prefer to mention it, just in case.......without wanting to belittle! Best regards.
