Hello,
When creating a system image on my external hard drive under W10, I received this error message:
"The backup failed.
New damaged clusters were found on the source volume.
These clusters were not backed up (0x8078007D)"
How can I resolve this, please?

Configuration: Windows / Firefox 60.0

Hello,
Check the state of your HDD with CrystalDiskInfo, is it old? It might be dying...

I’m going to check the condition as you said.
He’s only two years old…

You're welcome, remember to back up your personal documents on an external drive before the hard drive goes bad...
Do it as soon as possible.

Yes, of course,
Pretty annoying for a two-year-old DD!
The Windows Reader analysis doesn't detect anything
Could it not be something else?

Not really, CrystalDiskInfo is reliable so...
For the bad sectors, you can check here (it's free):

Thank you, but I've already done this and Windows didn't find any errors on the hard drive.

In this, the disk is dead...

Not quite dead yet, you're at "caution" but you need to back up your important stuff, the sectors aren't the worst, you can have hundreds reallocated and the computer works normally, the worst: C5 & C6, bad luck, 2 years is little, my oldest PC is 9 years old with 15 reallocated sectors, I don't know why but it stays at 15 and runs like it did at the beginning, I advise you to change it and get a 1,000 GB Western Digital, the best in my opinion...

Defective sectors are defective sectors.

There are one or more programs to restore them, but I believe they are only available for payment.

I know of the existence of Drevitalize, but I haven't tested it to confirm its validity or reliability.

Maybe it's worth its price and maybe it's not.
