Hello,
During multiple successive attempts to create a system image on an external hard drive, the operation goes smoothly until the end, but at that point, the following messages appear:
- The backup failed.
- "An error occurred while compacting the virtual hard disk in the backup location. (0x80780151)";
- "Additional Information:
Failed to mount the volumes of the backup. Please retry the operation. (0x80780104)
Configuration: Windows / Firefox 50.0

Hello,
I was the one who asked the question and in the end, I was the one who found the answer, and it's really simple!
Before creating your system image, make sure that your disk is not compressing its data. To do this, right-click on the drive where you want to save your system (let's call it "H:" for demonstration purposes), then click on "Properties." A window will open, and in the "General" tab, at the bottom of the window, uncheck the option "Compress this drive to save space."
There you go, as I told you, it's really simple. You can now successfully create your system image.
Best regards.
