EXCEL: Remove empty rows at the end

Hello,

I have an Excel file with 1 million empty rows at the end of my table, how can I delete them? I can select them using CTRL + SHIFT + End, but I can't delete them using the usual methods...

Does anyone have a solution?

Hello,

Maybe:
Left click on the number of the first empty row to select the entire row, Shift + Ctrl + Down Arrow to select down to the last row of the sheet, right-click on a row number, Delete.

Thank you for your response, but unfortunately, it didn't have any effect... After clicking on Delete, Excel loaded for a few seconds, but it didn’t delete anything. I tried saving, closing, and reopening, but nothing worked.

Hello,

they should only be deleted if Excel sees them as used rows; they unnecessarily bloat the file.
You can see the last cell in use by pressing Ctrl+End.

But deleting them doesn’t make them disappear; a sheet always has its set number of rows.
However, you can hide them.

What matters after performing the action indicated by Patrice is where a Ctrl+End takes you.
To line 50 or to line 1,000,000?
And if it contains images or many objects, it can considerably increase its size.
If that's not the case and nothing has changed, your file might be infected.
The simplest and safest thing to do then is to copy and paste your data into a new workbook.

While watching his video, I find that Excel takes too long to delete the blank rows (on the 2nd attempt), which indicates that they are still not empty: the file is most likely infected.
