Instagram highlight story

Question

Hello,

I can't access the highlights on my personal account; they don't show up, and I can't see them on the accounts of people who have them.
I have a second professional account, and on that one, I can see the highlights of other people, but I can't add any myself.

I've already uninstalled the app, logged out, sent a message to Instagram... if you are also affected by this issue

Hello,

To add highlights to your Instagram profile, you need to start by enabling archive saving:

go to your profile (icon at the bottom right)
go to Settings (the little gear icon at the top right)
go to "Story Settings"
enable the "Save to Archive" option

This is a feature that Instagram is rolling out gradually, so it may not be available to you yet. Make sure you have the latest version of the app by uninstalling and then reinstalling it.

Then, you need to:

post a story
click on your story on the homepage ("You")
click on the heart icon at the bottom left of the story "Highlight"

You will then see the story in question appear along with the "New" button to add more highlights to your profile.

I'm in the same situation:

When I go to Story Options, in the Savings section, there is no option Save to Archive!
I can only Save to Camera Roll...

PS: I have uninstalled/reinstalled the app (several times) to make sure I am up to date. And iOS is up to date too...

When I want to add one or more stories to my highlights, when I click on add it says "Instagram is experiencing some difficulties, please try again in a few moments." The problem has been lasting for 2 weeks... While everything works fine on my second account.

I have exactly the same issue! It's quite strange! And it only happens with one account, as well as on my old phone everything works fine but on my iPhone 7 I can't view my archives or add stories to highlights. Hoping someone finds a solution.

Hello

As with every announced update, people panic because they are not part of the chosen ones who get the new options directly... As has been said many times before, you need to WAIT!

We never all have the same features at the same time... Updates are rolled out in batches of users... And it can take SEVERAL MONTHS. Yes, that's normal.

I have exactly the same problem! I've been waiting for months, but apparently it isn't coming and won't come! I created another account to see if it worked, and it worked fine, the problem lies with our accounts! They might be too old, I don't know, but I would be annoyed to delete this account just to access the highlighted stories! In any case, if someone finds a solution, please let me know, I would appreciate it.

Without talking about the personal stories we want to post, I could watch everyone's stories; they appeared in a window on the right side of the news feed (on PC), and I've not seen them for a day... Before, once I subscribed, I could see them on the page of the account I just followed (circles below the photo and username), but not anymore.. I wonder if, like Instagram now that it's Facebook, it's not messing things up...

I’ve been in the same situation since December 2018... no longer able to add highlights to my stories on either my personal or professional IG account, and I also don’t see them on other users’ accounts.
