Hello,
I would like to boost and change the processor of my current laptop if possible. I would like to replace my dual-core with a 4-core processor, physically, with 4 or 8 (ideally) logical cores. Indeed, I may need to use VMs or use programs that parallelize.
I am really new to this field and I am having a hard time finding documentation on compatible processors with my motherboard and my chipset.

Forget it, it's a laptop and on laptops, you can hardly change anything except for the hard drive or the RAM, the components are soldered to the motherboard.

but it's very complicated on laptops
to find a compatible one
once I changed a Celeron too
for a Core Duo

Indeed, I think I will have to change my PC.
As I’ve been looking around, I read that you can still play with the memory and, if they are not soldered, change the processors of certain laptops.
I think the best thing to do is to buy a new PC with a bit more room for evolution (even if it's not infinite) next time.
