Hello,

I recently reset the hard drive of my laptop (Acer Aspire ES 15), I did a Diskpart on it and set the hard drive to GPT. I then reinstalled Windows 10 on it successfully.

The problem is at startup, Windows refuses to boot and displays a blue screen giving me this information:

"Failed to load the operating system because a required file is missing or contains errors.
File: clipsp.sys
Error code: 0xc0000185"

Is anyone able to guide me in resolving this issue?

Sincerely.

    Hi,

I then successfully reinstalled Windows 10 on it.

The problem is at startup, Windows refuses to start

These two sentences don't go very well together.

    Try again...

Did you get your Windows 10 ISO from the Microsoft website?

Did you create your bootable media with MediaCreationTool?

You can also make a USB drive of 8GB or more with Rufus...

      Hi fabul.

ISO mounted on USB with MediaCreationTool and downloaded from the Microsoft website. The drive is clean. Just in case, I have already reinstalled Windows 10, just like the drive with the ISO image, with no change in the result.

    Hello,

    We should check:
    - if a BIOS update is available
    - if you have any USB devices connected.
    - if there is a disk issue, run SMART: https://www.malekal.com/tester-diagnostic-materiel-ordinateur-live-usb-ubuntu/

If you have the latest version of Windows 10 (1709), try using version 1703 to see if the issue persists, in case it's an incompatibility issue with version 1709. The older Windows 10 ISOs are available here: https://www.malekal.com/telecharger-anciennes-iso-de-windows-10/

      Hello Malekal_morte-

      - I can't start the PC at all, so I don't know how I could do a BIOS update.
      - I have no peripherals connected when I try to start, or maybe the installation USB when I attempt to use it to repair or boot with.
      - I will try your technique with Ubuntu, but later

I don't know how to check the version of Windows I've tested, but I don't think that's what's causing the issue. Because I already tested with an image downloaded from another site than Microsoft without success (I thought the problem was there, but no difference with the MediaCreationTool from the Microsoft site). That said, it doesn't stop me from trying again...

try with a version 1703 to see if it does the same.

Resolved with the help of a computer technician.
The problem was with the Hard Drive, which was functional for storing data but too damaged to support an operating system. So I bought an SSD and it's better than before :)
    Thanks for the help!
