Hello. I changed the black ink of my CANON MAXIFY MB2040 printer. The following appeared on the printer's screen during the reset: SUPPORT CODE 5500 - PRINTER ERROR. I was instructed: 1- cancel any print jobs. 2- turn off the device and then turn it back on. 3- If the error persists, contact customer service.
Before contacting customer service, is there another troubleshooting solution?

    Hello,

    The error 5500 indicates that the ink cartridge has not been recognized. Try reinstalling it; if the problem persists, install a new cartridge.
