Good evening everyone... Having received a new PC, delivered without an OS, I rushed to install a system on it... After completing all the system updates and installing the drivers, I realize I made a big mistake: I installed Windows 10 Education instead of Windows 10 Pro... Even though everything is exactly the same at this level, I would like to migrate from the Education version to the Pro without having to format everything, which would be quite annoying for me... If anyone has an idea? I'm all ears...

Well done! What you're doing is completely illegal.

Aside from that detail, be aware that there is a significant difference between the S and Pro versions of Windows 10: the S version (or Student version) is only available in educational environments. It comes with numerous restrictions, including the requirement to only use applications from the Store, the inability to install third-party software, and the platform is 32-bit.

The Pro version costs €285, so if you want to install it, you'll need to break the piggy bank.

With a valid key (purchased and not OEM), you can upgrade directly from S to Pro, but you will remain on 32-bit. Upgrading to 64-bit requires a complete reinstallation of the system.

I'm not on the S version; I'm currently on the Education version and on 64 Bits, so thank you, I know the difference between X86 and X64. One would have to be completely crazy to install 32 Bits on a PC with 8 GB of DDR4 RAM and a 7th generation Intel Core i5, which I remind you is not supposed to support 32 bits...

So you need to enter the key for a Pro license.

      - Press the Windows+Pause shortcut
      - At the bottom right, simply click on "Change product key" and enter the new key.

Thank you, Laurent. After entering the key in the Windows 10 activation window and after a restart, Windows 10 Education changed to Windows 10 Pro. Have a good evening, best regards.
