Hello,
I have been receiving the following error message since this morning when I try to launch Chrome:
the application failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. For more information, please check the application event log or use the command-line tool sxstrace.exe
This is not the first time I've had this issue, I've already experienced it with my entire Adobe suite, and I had to reinstall everything. I know that uninstalling and reinstalling Chrome will fix the problem, but if it persists in other more sensitive programs, it could cause me issues. Therefore, I would like to know how to remove it without uninstalling the software or simply how to resolve the problem once and for all on my entire PC.
Thank you!

ok, do this:
close all your running programs
start the command prompt as an administrator (right-click)
in the window that opens, type sfc /scannow and hit ENTER
WARNING: there is 1 space between sfc and /
let the computer work (about 20 minutes) and at the end of the scan, check if it found/fixed any system files
