For those who have Windows 7, the updates from January 2019 KB4480970 and KB4480960
cause network problems.
Microsoft has officially acknowledged it.

Some sponsors install antivirus other than the default, namely Windows Defender.

Access the control panel
From the Desktop:
Click on the Start button, located at the bottom left of your screen.
In the menu that appears, select Control Panel.
Under Network and Internet, click on View network status and tasks.
A new window opens.
In the left column, select Change adapter settings.
Right-click on the name of the network connection you wish to configure.
In the menu that appears, select Properties.
Select the line Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4).
Click on the Properties button.
Select → Obtain an IP address automatically
Select → Obtain DNS server addresses automatically
then OK

Do the same with Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6)

Windows 10
Right-click on the network icon at the bottom right of the screen and choose Network and Sharing Center
Or go to the Start menu, Settings, Network and Internet, Ethernet, Change adapter options.
In the left menu, click on → Change adapter settings
Double-click on your network adapter (Ethernet or Wi-Fi).
Click on the Properties box at the bottom of the mini window
Double-click on the line → Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)
Select → Obtain an IP address automatically
Select → Obtain DNS server addresses automatically
then OK

Do the same with Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6)

In the meantime, check if you have any infection lingering
Run AdwCleaner
Run Malwarebytes
Or ResetBrowser

I have exactly the same problem (on Chrome or Firefox), yet my PC is new and my internet connection is working perfectly.
I ran CCleaner, checked the firewalls, changed the DNS, I even reformatted my PC... nothing works. If you have a solution, I'm all ears because I'm about to throw my PC out the window!! Thank youuu

I think this problem is due to your version of Firefox. So we will try to update the browser. Please follow these steps:
- open Firefox
- click on the 3 bars at the top right
- click on "Options"
- scroll down to "Firefox Update"
- click on "Check for updates"
- let the update download
- click on "Restart Firefox"
