Solved

Good evening everyone,

I have a rather annoying issue that has been going on for a while: I can no longer access the two forums that I visit every day. I was there this morning, and now nothing, "timeout exceeded." However, I haven't made any changes to my PC, so I don't quite understand what's going on. Thank you for shedding some light on this as soon as possible.
Configuration: Windows XP Firefox 3.5.2

I just tried on my other computer which has Vista, and it works very well...

Hello, well given the reports, no infection detected, try to check "obtain an IP address automatically" in your connection properties

.control panel
.network connection "open"
.local area network or wireless, if wifi "right-click"
.properties
.scroll down with the scrollbar.
.internet protocol (tcp/ip) highlight it "by clicking on it"
.properties
.check "obtain an IP address automatically"
.and do the same for the DNS
.and confirm with ok, restart the pc

If the same, try with a fixed IP address, what I'm providing is for SFR, if not SFR, do not apply and search for the correct preferred DNS "Primary DNS" and secondary DNS "Secondary DNS" here: https://www.commentcamarche.net/maison/box-connexion-internet/1805-serveur-dns-orange-free-sfr-bouygues-les-bonnes-adresses/

.control panel
.network connection "open"
.local network or wifi, if wifi "right-click"
.properties
.scroll down with the scrollbar.
.internet protocol (tcp/ip) highlight it "by clicking on it"
.properties
.check "use the following IP address"
.and there you enter 192.168.1.? ( ? being a number between 50 and 250 but easy for you to remember)
.subnet mask 255.255.255.0
.gateway 192.168.1.1
.check "use the following DNS server address"
.preferred DNS "Primary DNS"212.30.96.108

.auxiliary DNS "Secondary DNS" 213.203.124.146

.confirm with OK and restart the pc
normally internet pages should load faster because the reception is quicker

tuto for XP: http://www.tutoriels-animes.com/creer-une-adresse-ip-fixe-sous-windows-xp.html

for vista follow the instructions in the tutorial and input the provided numbers
