Hello
I start the computer and I see the following message: "An operating system was not found. Try disconnecting any drives that don't contain an operating system.
Press ctrl+alt+del to restart"
When I press the restart commands, I end up on the same thing
I had a bootable Windows CD that I inserted but nothing changes, the only difference is that it takes longer to load before arriving on the same page.
Does anyone have a solution?
Thank you
Configuration: Android / Chrome 63.0.3239.111

Hello,
Check that you don’t have a USB drive or DVD-Rom plugged in.
If not, check the boot order in the BIOS and ensure your hard drive is detected; see these links: https://www.commentcamarche.net/faq/18870-configurer-proprement-la-sequence-de-demarrage-dans-le-bios
https://www.malekal.com/comment-changer-boot-priority-bios/
And if nothing works, try reinstalling Windows 10 to see if it can list the partitions.
Reinstall Windows 10 from an installation media.
Reinstall Windows 10 without formatting:
Follow this tutorial that explains how to install Windows 10: how to install Windows 10.
All steps are given from A to Z with tips at the end to secure Windows 10.
The main steps are:
- Download the Windows 10 installation ISO: https://www.microsoft.com/fr-fr/software-download/windows10 (other download methods: https://www.malekal.com/telecharger-iso-windows/ ).
- Create the installation media with the Media Creation Tool
- Boot from it by modifying the boot sequence and indicating the USB drive or DVD: How to boot the computer from USB drive
If the USB drive doesn’t work, try creating it again with Rufus: how to download Rufus - see this tutorial for details: how to create a Windows installation USB drive
- Let yourself be guided to install Windows 10.
- Choose custom (not upgrade)
- During the partition phase, select the main partition and click next.
- The installer will inform you that Windows is already present and suggest moving it.
- Follow the Windows installation procedure using the tutorial mentioned above.
Do not format under any circumstances.
Your user data will be copied into a subfolder of Windows.old Windows.old.
Once Windows is installed, I recommend following these tips to properly configure and use Windows: Tips after reinstalling Windows.

I told a friend to install Windows on a USB drive.
Just for this installation, once the OS is installed on the USB drive, I just have to plug the drive into the PC, make sure the drive is prioritized in the BIOS and that's it! Am I wrong?
I don't understand what you mean by Media Creation Tool.
Media Creation Tool is the tool to create the USB drive with the Windows installer inside.
