Error message 1962

Question

Hello, I have a Lenovo PC running Windows 10 (C40-30 Type F0B4) and since yesterday, I cannot turn it on. Indeed, when I start it using the power button, I get the message: error 1962 no operating system found...on a black screen.  I've read on forums that it's possible to access the BIOS by pressing shift and restart, but in my case, I can't even access the login menu because I have a black screen with just the message on a line at the top of the screen.  What can I do to troubleshoot this? Thank you for your help. Best regards.

Good evening,Try pressing the "Del" "Delete" or "F12" key if it doesn't work.

Hello,  Thank you for your help, but surprise tonight I wanted to perform the startup manipulations to enter the BIOS (F12 or F2) but eventually I no longer had the error message 1962! The screen froze with the Lenovo logo for a good 5 minutes, then it started normally. Are there still manipulations to do to check if the hard drive is affected? I read on forums that I should go to the BIOS to perform some checks, but how?  If I do nothing, can the problem reappear? Since I'm still under warranty, I wonder if I should return it....  Thank you

Hello,  Surprise this evening when I started my PC, I got the error message 1962 again... I managed to enter the BIOS after several attempts and by pressing F1 at startup. I went to the "Startup" tab where I checked or modified the following settings as seen in other discussions: CSM - enabled Boot mode - Auto Boot Priority - UEFI first Quick Boot - enabled Boot up Num-Lock Status - On  But upon restarting after F10, the error message 1962 came up again...  What should I do??  Thank you for your help, I don't know what else to do... Best regards
