Hello,
I have a Dell OptiPlex 5050 desktop computer running Windows 10 64-bit. I tried reinstalling it by changing the operating system to Windows 7 64-bit, which shows me an incompatibility message. I’m asking if there is another method to make the installation succeed.
Configuration: Windows / Chrome 63.0.3239.132

Hello so you did the same as me? But me on a 400 and I lost the USB, I can't currently find a solution because my computer has lost its Microsoft image. Still I bought a new Dell top of the line E64OO still BIOS. However no matter what I do Windows 7 forbids me to go back to XP. And I’m still trying methods. Unfortunately my DVD is an external original and its USB has stopped working. So I’m making internal appeals and I think I need to find someone who first has an intact 400 to be in the minimum possible.

Hi! Normally Windows 7 is capable of reinstalling on any other version, except for incompatibility with the computer. However, if we assume the problem is in the hard drive, then you should format it at the cyber cafe. And don’t forget to include the XP NTLDR plugin or the BOOTMGR that is in Windows on the CD to open the hard drive and be able to pass through without issues. Still, if your computer is 32-bit, you need to change Windows because of incompatibility. Of course the hard drive has a USB connector that you can mount outside of any computer.
