Hello, I have a computer running Windows 7 and I would like to upgrade to Windows 10 but when I launch the upgrade tool an error appears:

C:\User\       \Downloads\Windows10Upgrade9252.exe is not a valid Win32 application.

Thank you, have a good day

    Hello,

Wouldn't you prefer to install it fresh?

It might be your only choice.

Use the tool to download the Windows ISO file (For another PC) to create a USB drive (Minimum 8GB) to install Windows

    https://www.microsoft.com/fr-fr/software-download/windows10/

Once you have the Windows ISO file that you can download from the tool, you can create your USB drive with Rufus 2.18

    https://rufus.ie/downloads/

You need to create the drive in MBR mode

Boot from it using the Boot Menu key of the PC

You can search on Google "[Brand Model] Boot Menu Key"

    Choose "Custom installation" (Not upgrade)

No need to format if there’s space; if there are files, they will be found in a Windows.old folder (which will be automatically deleted after 10 days)

Install on the same partition, or if you prefer, delete all system partitions and create a new one (This will delete the data).
