Hello, I recently bought a PS4, and when I tried to connect it to my TV with an HDMI cable, the screen remained black. I went to my store's customer service, and they checked that the console was fine. They advised me to try safe mode (by pressing the power button for 7 seconds until the second beep). But nothing works, the screen stays black.
I noticed that at the top of my TV it says: 720x480@50hz or 720x576@50hz
I tried it on another small TV, and the PS4 works fine. I also tried several HDMI cables.
Then I was told about a firmware update for the TV; I have a 2009 Samsung model reference LE40B530P7WXXC, but I can't find any updates on the Samsung website, and the TV doesn't have a USB port.

Thank you for your help.

    Hi,

Did you switch to the HDMI source using the TV remote?

Yes, of course, I even tried it on all 3 HDMI ports.

Basically, it should work on your TV since it works elsewhere.
As for the TV update, it's not mandatory.
        The console should work naturally.
It's probably an old TV and the new HDMI standard doesn't work on it.
