Hello, recently I've noticed that with some audio files like MP3 and FLAC, the sound on VLC skips, but not with videos. After uninstalling and reinstalling the latest version, now it's the videos that have sound skipping every 5 seconds or so. I found some tutorials online, but they're from 2012 and VLC has changed a lot since then, so if anyone has a solution, I'm all ears :)

Well, I found out where the problem was coming from, I had installed another driver (Realtek audio driver) while I already had the one from AMD (AMD audio driver), the two caused a conflict. After uninstalling both and reinstalling the correct one, which is the AMD driver, I no longer have any issues with VLC, and the sound that skipped every 5 seconds is gone :) Thanks anyway for your help.

    Hi,
    Weird!!
Personally, I hardly ever use it (fade in video, no depth, etc..)

What operating system are you on?
Where do you get your videos and mp3s?

    We'll try to find out

I am on Windows 10, when it comes to the sources of my videos or MP3s, they are various, whether from the internet or coming from my smartphone, it's the same.
