Desktop shortcuts with text but no icon

Hello,

I am using Windows 10, and all my shortcut icons on the desktop no longer appear, although the text is still visible.
The shortcuts still work as well.

I also have no icons in the taskbar and none for the shortcuts under File Explorer.

I have already tried the many solutions available on the forums (rebuilding the icon cache, checking and repairing the Windows 10 image with DISM), but none have worked.

      Right-click + properties no longer displays anything (no popup).

      I think your shortcuts are corrupted.
      Recreate them.

      When you recreate the shortcut and restart Windows, does it turn white?

    Have you modified any registry keys?

    Optimization software like Ccleaner, Glary Utilities, Advanced System Care...?

    One case where interveners removed the shortcut arrows→ here
    You can test other solutions like Windows Repair among others.

    Can you perform a system restore?

    If nothing works, you can Refresh Windows 10.

      Yes, delete the shell icons entry in the registry + command ie4uinit -show
