Which satellite am I pointed at?

Hello,

Previously with Orange, I receive TV via satellite connected to the Orange TV box.
I am approached by Free and decide to switch to them. The hotline assures me that I could connect my satellite to the Free TV box.

I receive the Free TV box, and bingo, I cannot connect my satellite.

I then decide to buy a TNT decoder.

Not knowing which satellite I am pointed at, I look at my dish; it is oriented towards the EAST. I think I am probably on ASTRA since Fransat is also in the EAST. I install the TNTSAT decoder, but it doesn't receive any signal...

My questions:
- Can Orange receive on ASTRA and FRANSAT?
- Given that my dish is oriented more towards the EAST, and I was receiving TV from Orange, am I necessarily on ASTRA?
- If I am not on ASTRA and was receiving TV from Orange, am I necessarily on FRANSAT? In that case, can I just change my TNTsat decoder and it will definitely work?

    Hello and welcome,
    Fransat is on Eutelsat 5° West and does not broadcast Orange
    Orange is only broadcast on Astra 19.2° East
    So you are on Astra, you are not receiving any channels? Not even the free-to-air ones on Astra?

      Thank you for the reply. I suspected I was on ASTRA and your response confirms my analysis.

      So, I installed my TNTSAT decoder, Thomson THS804, but right from the start of the installation, it detects no signal... No matter how hard I try, when I start the channel search, it finds nothing.
      0
