My amplifier is not working properly.

Hello,

I have a Fender Champion 100 electric guitar amp that I bought used. I haven't had any issues until now. However, for a little while now, the sound from my amp lowers by itself, meaning that when I play at a "moderately loud" volume, the sound suddenly becomes "slightly louder." The same happens when I try to play music.

I would like to know if there is a way to fix my amp myself or through a professional, or if I need to replace it.

Thank you.

    Hello Godofpinguins,

I would like to know if there is a way to fix my amp myself or with a pro, or if I need to replace it: if you're asking the question, it means you can't fix your amp yourself. For an amp in this range, a repair is possible and reasonably priced depending on the required labor.
It could be a potentiometer issue, a capacitor,..., nothing too serious at first glance.
As for replacing it, I don't think so; so, get a repair estimate from a professional.

Thank you very much for your response,

I would like to know what type of merchant to go to for this issue, an electrician or an instrument seller.

      Thank you.

It all depends on the professional's skills. I would initially recommend an electronics technician. There are also instrument stores that have qualified staff who can repair on-site. Ask for a quote in-store and if they do repairs or send things to customer service, knowing that on-site repairs are quicker and cheaper...
