Stuck at "Press the ESC Key for startup menu"!

Hello (it's quite urgent),

I installed Windows on a laptop, it's an HP Pavilion. After the installation, it booted normally, everything was working fine, etc. I left the computer on last night unsupervised while it was searching for updates and drivers automatically (W10) and this morning, it turns out that when I boot it up, a black screen appears with only the text at the bottom left: "Press the ESC Key for startup menu".

If I press ESC, it gives another message and gets stuck there indefinitely... If I try to cut it off by entering the BIOS before the message shows up: it doesn't work. And if I press F2 or F11, etc., when I have this message, the same thing happens, another message appears and I'm blocked.

Things I've already tried: unplugging the hard drive, removing one RAM stick, the other, switching them... Nothing works. I'm still stuck with this message and I can't do anything. It would be really nice of you to help me, it would make a difference, especially since it's quite urgent. Thank you.

Configuration: Windows / Chrome 60.0.3112.101

Hello

It would be really nice of you to help me, it would make a difference

What difference would it make?

If I press ESC it shows another message

What is that message?

And if I press F2 or F11 etc when I have that message, similarly, another message appears

What message?

There are 3 types of people: those who know how to count and those who don't.
There are two categories of people: those who divide everything into two categories and the others.

Thank you for your reply.
It would change my life. Lol.

So on ESC I have the message "ESC... Pause Startup^"
With F11 I have the message "F11... System recovery"
Etc.

Basically, as soon as I press a key, it shows me the name of the key, the function, but nothing more...
